Ornithomimus was named for its neck structure, which was said to resemble thatof a rooster. But this speedy, ostrich-like dinosaur was a great deal larger than asupermarket chicken and is known from many exceptionally well-preserved skullsand a skeleton. With its long legs and light, streamlined body, it could go as fastas 40 miles per hour or more.
